Steak with Herb Butter

200 g beef per person (filet, rump steak, or ribeye)
2 Tablespoon(s) avocado, canola, or sunflower oil per steak
Salt and pepper to taste
3 Tablespoon(s) butter per steak
2 cloves of garlic (optional, more to taste)
Rosemary or herbs of your choice

Steak with Herb Butter

1. Season the steak generously with coarse salt 24 hours before cooking and refrigerate for the best flavor. Take the steak out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
2. Sear the steak in a STONELINE grill pan over medium heat in oil for 2 minutes per side until a nice crust forms. Then place the steak in a preheated oven (120°C) and let it finish cooking for 5-10 minutes depending on the desired doneness. In the same pan, melt butter with garlic and herbs, baste the steak with the butter, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve.
