200 g flour
50 g cocoa powder (unsweetened)
150 g sugar
1 Pack(s) of baking powder
1 Pinch(es) of salt
250 ml almond milk (or plant-based milk of your choice)
60 ml vegetable oil (e.g., sunflower oil)
2 Teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
100 g dark chocolate (vegan)
2 Tablespoon(s) apple cider vinegar (works as an egg substitute)
50 g chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat the oven

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (conventional heat).

Mix dry ingredients

1. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add wet ingredients

1. Add almond milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar to the dry ingredients, and stir everything into a smooth batter.

Melt the chocolate

1. Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a STONELINE® saucepan over low heat. Stir regularly to avoid burning the chocolate.

Fold in the melted chocolate

1. Once the chocolate has melted, allow it to cool slightly before adding it to the batter. Stir until the chocolate is evenly mixed in.

Prepare the cake pan

1. Grease a springform pan (Ø 22 cm) or line it with baking paper.

Bake the cake

1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Check with a wooden skewer to see if the cake is done.

Let it cool and enjoy

1. Let the cake cool in the pan before removing it. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or decorate with a vegan chocolate glaze.
