Divide the ground beef into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and slightly flatten it. Season with salt and pepper.
Preheat the grill or a pan over medium-high heat. Place the meatballs on the hot grill or in the pan and use the STONELINE® Burger Smasher to press them flat and evenly. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side until they develop a nice crust. Just before the patties are done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each, cover with the STONELINE® Burger Dome, and let the cheese melt.
Halve the burger buns and spread some butter on the cut sides. Toast the bun halves on the grill or in the pan until golden brown and crispy.
Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and sugar in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Spread the sauce on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Add a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, some onion rings, and pickle slices. Place the hot patty with melted cheese on top and finish with the top bun half.
Serve the burgers immediately, best with French fries or a fresh salad.

Bester Smashburger ever!
Hab den Smashburger nachgekocht, und er ist wirklich der Hammer! Super saftig, mit einer perfekten knusprigen Kruste. Hab noch Gitterpommes dazu gemacht – einfach nur der Wahnsinn. Definitiv einer der besten Burger, die ich je gemacht habe!
