Crispy and Juicy Patties

500 g lean ground beef (max. 20% fat)
1 Teaspoon(s) salt
0.5 Teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper
0.5 Teaspoon(s) onion powder
0.5 Teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 Tablespoon(s) oil for the grill plate or pan

Crispy and Juicy Patties

1. Mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, onion, and garlic powder in a bowl. Knead just enough to combine all the ingredients while keeping a loose texture. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes.
2. Form the ground beef into balls about 4-5 cm thick, making sure not to press the meat too tightly. Place the balls on a lightly oiled grill plate or pan and flatten them with a burger smasher until they are about 0.5 cm thick.

Grill the patties over high heat for about 1 minute until they are crispy and have developed a nice sear. Then, flip them and grill the other side for another 15-30 seconds.

4. Tip:
When smashing, place a piece of parchment or wax paper between the smasher and the meat to prevent sticking.
