The knob on this lid isn’t for removing the lid, but it’s actually the smallest extractor hood in the world!
The patented universal lid from the STONELINE® SMELL WELL range comes with a cartridge. This cartridge offers you either an odour filter or an aroma function:
Odour Filter Function
Insert the supplied activated charcoal filter into the SMELL WELL cartridge. The activated charcoal filters and neutralises cooking smells so no unpleasant odours linger in your kitchen. This odour filter function is perfect for kitchens where a regular extractor hood cannot be installed, for open-plan kitchens, or as an additional odour neutraliser when frying smelly foods like fish, fried potatoes, and more.
Aroma Function
Fill the cartridge with the non-woven inserts to use the aroma function. Place fruit peels, herbs, etc. on these inserts. This releases a refreshing scent in your kitchen. You can use the aroma function either for odour neutralisation or as an aroma diffuser. For example, when cooking pasta, place the universal lid on the pot and the steam passes through the cartridge spreading the wonderful scent of your chosen aromas. Try lemon peels, rosemary, or lavender!
The universal lid fits pots and pans with a diameter of 22 / 24 / 26 / 28 cm thanks to its graduated rim made from high-quality platinum silicone. The silicone rim protects non-stick coated pots and pans from scratches and makes the glass lid more shatterproof. Since the silicone glass lid seals perfectly on the cookware, energy is saved and annoying rattling noises while cooking are prevented.
PLEASE NOTE: The SMELL WELL knob is not for removing the lid! Hold the lid by the SILICONE TABS ON THE SIDES to remove it. These tabs stay cool during cooking. Make sure to lift the lid at an angle to let the steam escape sideways. This protects you from burns.
